Mr. McKenna has practiced law since 1996. His practice is focused in the areas of commercial litigation, transportation, admiralty and maritime matters, real estate, serious personal injury claims, railroad actions, and professional malpractice claims. Mr. McKenna is a Civil Mediator, and he currently offers real estate closing and title services through Steadfast Title Insurance Company, LLC.
Prior to his commitment to operating a full service law firm, Mr. McKenna was an Assistant City Attorney for the City of New Orleans, focusing on Real Estate, Transportation, and Constitutional issues. While serving in this public capacity, Mr. McKenna actively participated in several cases of interest, including successfully defending a RICO litigation allegedly involving the Mayor and other City Council Members. Mr. McKenna also defended the City in a major land use suit involving the closing of city streets. Further, Mr. McKenna successfully defended the City of New Orleans in a Constitutional claim regarding the enforcement of a ban of walking tours after 10:00 pm.
Mr. McKenna was an associate attorney with the law firm of Christovich & Kearney, LLP, practicing insurance defense, products liability, medical malpractice defense, and aviation litigation.
Mr. McKenna graduated Cum Laude from the Southern University Law Center in 1996. He was Chairman of the Southern University Moot Court Board and a member of the Southern University Law Review.
